The Full Story
Much like many people in the world, the pandemic caused a pivot point in our lives and has moved us in a totally new direction! The thing about humanity is that we are "wired up" for survival and significance at our very core.
During the summer of 2020, just months after the lock down, Anastasia and her husband, James, planted a vegetable garden as a way to pass time while in isolation. She and her good friend, Margret, decided to preserve the harvest by learning all they could about canning. They gave many of these preserved foods to their family, friends and neighbors for Christmas. It was a simple gift given from the heart and so warmly received and appreciated. At that time, no one really knew what would happen next as we were all in such a state of uncertainty.
After Christmas they decided that for the next Christmas the gift of preserves would be specialty jams. That January of 2021 they tried making their first jam and after their success they posted their accomplishment on social media. It got so many views and inquiries about purchasing, they began doing "porch pick up" orders. As things opened up and restrictions decreased, Margret and Anastasia made a bunch of jams to try to sell at the public market. They were a hit! They almost sold out the first day and they also got a large contract from a local business.
Little did they know that in such a short time they would develop over 15 flavors, have plans to do more, adding merch, other hygge products, a website, and a signature coffee. Who knew? They went from doing a couple markets a week last year and this year growing into several markets a week and from 2-3 special events to about 20. Now they also have their jams in several stores. They love to support local and be a part of this community.
